A Boston native, Dr. Shakourian studied chemistry at Boston University before earning her dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, one of the nation’s oldest and most respected dental schools. Her path then led her to Michigan, where she completed her advanced orthodontic residency at the University of Detroit Mercy, receiving extensive training in treating children, teens, and adults with both braces and clear aligner therapy.

Throughout her career, Dr. Shakourian has been driven by a desire to make patients feel genuinely cared for. She is known for her patience, her attentiveness, and her ability to explain complex dental concepts in simple, easy-to-understand terms.
